Beaches Go Green is awarding (two) $2,500 scholarships to current high school seniors and higher education students (trade school, college, or university students) in the First Coast area for continuing education. Scholarships are awarded to qualified students who have demonstrated significant commitment to preserving, improving, or providing education on environmental issues.

The basic qualifications are:
  • Currently enrolled as a high school senior or a higher education institution
  • Future Enrollment in higher education in the 2020 - 2021 school year (Trade School, College, or University)
  • Live in one of the following counties: Baker, Flagler, St. Johns, Duval, Nassau, Clay and Putnam
  • Volunteered at least (50) hours for an organization(s) focused on improving, preserving, or educating on environmental, wildlife, or sustainability issues. (Volunteering with domestic animals does not apply.)


Applications are accepted January 1, 2020 to March 31, 2020 11:59 PM EST. Scholarship winners will be announced on or before April 15, 2020. Winners must be available to accept scholarship award in person on Thursday, April 30, 2020 6 PM at the Beaches Go Green monthly meeting. Location TBD.
