Green Lion Festival

Beaches Go Green made a splash during a huge thunderstorm at our first event ever – the Green Lion Festival during the Downtown Jacksonville Art Walk on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

Beaches Go Green (BGG) is the Jacksonville’s newest awareness and education campaign for reducing waste in our environment. BGG aims to inspire change in our community by educating individuals and businesses about the dangers of single-use plastic, how to “recycle right” and encouraging adoption of reusable items.

“Overall it was a great experience for us to be together talking to the community, even in the rain. When the thunderstorm struck and we huddled together, it made for quite an icebreaker for our new volunteers and team.” said Anne Marie Moquin, Founder & Executive Director.
